JOB OFFER – EPITHELIAL PLASTICITY AND METASTASIS GROUP, INIBIC
Our group is based at the Instituto de Investigación Biomédica A Coruña (INIBIC), integrated within the Complejo Hospitalario Universitario A Coruña. We are a multidisciplinary group formed by basic researchers in closed collaboration with clinicians. We focus our research in the understanding of the molecular mechanism involved in carcinoma progression, metastasis and drug resistance, with particular emphasis in the development of new therapeutic strategies against cancer. To address these aims we perform complementary approaches including relevant pre-clinical cancer models, cell culture experiments, omics and bioinformatic analysis of clinical samples.
REQUIREMENTS
– Master in Biology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Health or similar
Will be valued
– PhD in Biological/Biomedical Science (defence of doctoral thesis after January 2017)
– Background and expertise molecular and cellular biology (demonstrated by first author publications).
– Demonstrated expertise in preclinical cancer models
– Team player and motivation
– Open to apply for future postdoctoral calls (e.g. Xunta de Galicia, Juan de la Cierva, Sara Borrell, AECC..).
DUTIES
– Independence and leadership in research project.
– Collaboration in projects of the lab
– Supervision of graduate and undergraduate students
We offer 1-year position, renewable depending on available funds.
